Kelly George

My name is Kelly George, and I am currently a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology practicum student qualified to practice under the clinical supervision of an approved supervisor. I inherently believe in an individual’s strength to overcome obstacles and create a life that aligns with their unique values. Through empathetic engagement and validating your experiences, I aim to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental space to share your challenges. Together we can learn new skills and strategies to help you reach your goals and foster emotional resiliency.

My approach to mental health care is rooted in the assumption that you are the expert of your lived experiences and encompasses evidence-based interventions from various counselling orientations, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centred Therapy. Particular focus areas include anxiety, depression, stress management, emotional regulation, and trauma. Drawing on my experience as a holistic wellness practitioner, nutritionist, and certified yoga instructor, my approach to mental health care considers all aspects of your life to identify patterns that may contribute to your struggles.

Through opportunities for self-reflection and personal growth, I aim to foster empowerment through compassion and support as you become better equipped to handle future challenges. I welcome individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, genders, or religious denominations. I am so glad you have found your way here, and I look forward to supporting you in reaching your wellness goals!
